A Little Gist About Us
We Preach Jesus & Show His Love
About Us
When It Started & Where We Are
The ministry was founded by Pastor Peter Adebowale in 1984 and operated mainly as a yoruba speaking congregation. In 2000, two new Pastoral ordinations were made – His wife, Christiana Olaide Adebowale and Peter Babatunde, after they successful completed their training in bible school. In 2015, three new Pastoral ordinations were made, Elder Julius Fayemi and two of his sons, Oluwatobi and Ibukun.
The English ministry commenced under their leadership (Oluwatobi & Ibukun) while the yoruba ministry continued alongside. The intention wasn’t to make this solely an English ministry seeing we are located in the midst of many yoruba speaking indigenes, and we believe the gospel is to no specific class. This is why Pastor Oluwatobi Adebowale labours in teaching and preaching in the yoruba church every week. While this website is mainly for the English Ministry of our local church, we are currently working on lauching an online presence for the yoruba ministry loaded with valuable resources available for the yoruba speaking audience. Guess you know a little about us now?
Our Message
We preach Christ and Him Crucified
Having tasted that the Lord is good and gracious, we are poised with an undying passion to reach others with the knowledge of the same grace. We are persuaded that the much maligned revelation of God’s grace is the only means of salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7); the sure path to spiritual growth (Acts 20:32; Hebrews 13:8-9); and the empowerment for service and ministry (Romans 12:3; 1 Corinthians 15:10). In other words, without an understanding of the grace of Christ, salvation is unattainable, spiritual growth impossible, and ministry a struggle.
Our Mission
Saving and Equipping
Our mission is to seek and save that which is lost like Jesus said and did, and to equip the saved to reach others the same way they were reached. In other words, we minister to the lost to bring them into Christ so they can also be ministers. This explains why we have such an emphasis on spiritual training as a church. We don’t raise bench warmers; we train soldiers!
